The pod is an enclosure that is big enough for me to crouch down inside and zip shut around me. It began as an interest in exploring three-dimensional shapes.

I am interested in the idea of organic shapes and the cycles of life. Finally feeling closure after grieving my father’s death, the “Pod” represents rebirth for me. Although you may think it is a dark space to hide in, it is really a hopeful, green interior to grow/emerge from.
