"Searching for a unique and beautiful way to immortalize your four-legged best friend? Using just a few favorite photos of a beloved pet, Kevan is able to craft a fabric replica for you and your family to cherish and display for years to come. I commissioned my dear friend Kevan to duplicate my sister-in-law's precious yorkie, Eli. In short order, Kevan created a visually seamless, multicolored, textured wall hanging that masterfully captured Eli's charm and whimsy. Thank you, Kevan!"

A Page from My Book: Journal Quilts 2003, Journal Quilt Project for the International Quilt Festival, Houston, TX
Just as there are layers to a quilt there are layers of perception, levels of awareness and strata of memories. This series of 9 small self-portraits attempt to lay down a timeline of sorts; to order my thoughts as a woman in mid-life.
The first four quilts look back and explore the past. Themes include, grief, confusion, longing for "me" time and feeling overwhelmed.
The center image represents balance and looks straight forward. It is fractured, because balance is difficult to achieve.
The remaining four images face right and represent future and a more universal spirituality.
All are 8.5" x 11".
